Creation - a Digital Storytelling
Summer 2012
This is a poem I created about my father, Ron L. Dollar. I dedicate my passion for art and drive to create to him. This poem is a representation of the influence he had on my disire to become a multi-media artist. The black and white photo of the stork was a painting on a piece of pottery that he made before he passed away. I took a digital photo and edited it. I made a short video clip of the stork in my yard that I refered to in the poem. He made it when I was a child and everytime I pass it I feel his energy.

DTC 375 Language, Text, Technology
2013
This Website is intended to reflect on the course material covered in DTC 375 “Language, Texts, and Technology. I will be reviewing four books and one article during the the Fall 2013 semester, “Program or Be Programmed: Ten Commands for a Digital Age” by Douglass Rushkoff;  “Computing: A Concise History” by Paul Ceruzzi; “Print Is Flat, Code is Deep” by Kathrine Hayles, “10 Print Chr$(205.5+RND(1); : Goto 10“ by Nick Montfort et al., and “How we Think: Digital Media and Contemporary Technoligenesis” by Katherine Hayles.  This site is intended to reflect on the class course intertwining the three concepts, language, texts, and technology. Essentially, I am creating a digital notebook, containing notes, terms, references, summary’s, reflections.  This material can be used for others to review, comment, and engage in. If you are exploring this Web page, I hope that I can challenge you to think of other concepts and examine new theories associated with the digital age and social media.
